◆Sewing practice basic instructions.

In this post we will see how to practice pedal movement with feet on a stand table sewing machine and how to learn basic sewing exercises. Whether you are doing clothes alter or training to cut and sew clothes, this pedaling and basic sewing training is essential.

Initially the sewing machine rotates in reverse while pedaling with the feet. If the sewing machine rotates in reverse, there is a chance that the thread will get stuck in the bobbin case and the shuttle area will become repaired.

The reason for this is to try to sew clothes without learning to pedal the sewing machine properly. So let's see how to do proper pedal training. Before that we will see how to properly sew and attach the leather belt on the sewing machine.

How to attach a belt on a sewing machine?

To attach the leather belt, there is a groove-like structure on the wheel at the head of the sewing machine.  Place the belt on the top side of that groove in the wheel and hold it with the left hand without slipping the belt.

The large wheel on the stand table below also has a groove-like structure for attaching the belt.  Place the belt in the groove on the wheel, hold it with the right hand and slowly move it in reverse without slipping.

Rotate slowly around the belt until the full size of the stand wheel is attached.  Now the head of the belt sewing machine and the pedal wheel on the stand table are ready to be sewn together.  This is the belt attachment method.  Let’s continue to see how to learn to pedal with the feet.

How do you pedal a sewing machine for beginners?

When practicing pedaling on a sewing machine, it is essential to know how to operate the pedal with the feet.  That is, the right foot should be placed slightly above the pedal of the sewing machine and the left leg slightly down.

It is easy to tread the difference between the right foot and the left foot at a distance of 3 or 4 inches.  Similarly, when stepping on a sewing machine with the front foot, the right foot can press the front with more pressure and the left foot with more pressure on the back.

●what is the pedaling first step in a sewing machine?

If thread is put on the sewing machine before pedaling begins, the thread should be removed.  The pressure should lift the foot upwards.  When sewing pedal on the sewing machine its wheel should rotate backwards.  This is the correct method

However, if you start treading with your feet when you first start pedaling, the stand wheel will start to rotate upside down without turning backwards.  If the wheel of the sewing machine rotates upside down, the thread will not only fall off, but will go under the shuttle and get stuck.  If the thread gets stuck in the shuttle it may take a long time to fix.  Waste of time

●How to start sewing machine pedaling?

When practicing pedaling, do not try to push and step with your feet first.  As I said at first the legs should not be pressed back and forth. Now the small wheel on the head of the sewing machine should be rotated by hand from the top to the side where we are sitting.  As it rotates, the stand pedal moves up and down.

Now press with the right foot as the front of the pedal goes down.  Apply pressure with the left foot as the back of the next pedal goes down.  In this way, the head wheel of the sewing machine should be run around with the hands and then gradually pressed with the feet to practice pedaling.  Run the sewing machine for 2 or 3 minutes after starting to step on the feet.

Again we have to practice treading the small wheel on the head of the sewing machine by stepping on the pedal as we move the pedal up and down with our hands around the side of the seat.  Thus 5 to 10 times to drive the machine and practice.  Leave the break and start pedaling again.  You can learn pedaling in 1 or 2 days by practicing on a sewing machine like this.

This is the perfect pedaling exercise.  After learning to step well, you can keep your feet flat on the pedal.  Keeping the legs balanced, running with equal pressure and stepping for long periods of time will not cause foot pain.  But when learning to pedal, as I said, you can easily learn by keeping your feet 3 or 4 inches apart.

●What are the basic sewing exercises?

After learning to pedal on a sewing machine, you have to practice sewing on clothes to sew clothes.  Let’s see what basic sewing exercises it should do.

  1. Random sewing tutorial
  2. straight sewing exercises
  3. corner turning sewing exercise
  4. curves sewing exercises
  5. Tutorial for margin and gap stitches

These are just some of the goal setting shareware that you can use.  You can use the little clothes you have to learn basic sewing exercises.  Let's see in detail how to do these exercises.

1. How to practice Random stitches?

After learning to pedal on a sewing machine you have to put the thread in the machine.  To practice random sewing you need to put 2 layers of fabric on top of each other.  Next you have to run the machine to sew the fabric as you like at random.

Practice putting a variety of stitches on the sewing machine, such as straight, curved, and square turns.  Do not try to control the sewing machine too much.  Sewing like this will increase the confidence and curiosity that you can sew.

2.How to practice straight stitches on a sewing machine.  ?

Pick up clothes that have straight lines.  If you do not have fabrics with straight lines, you should draw lines with plain fabrics.  Now practice sewing through the lines in the fabric or over the lines.

You need to control and operate the sewing machine so that the stitches you make go through the lines without leaving the lines.  Similarly a lot of straight stitches need to be practiced.  This is straightforward sewing training

3.How To Practice Square Corner Turning sewing exercise?

Draw a straight line square and corner lines on the fabric.  This is how sewing is done by stopping at the right place on the square and corners of the stitch through the seam line and sewing through the back line.

That means you need to practice sewing in a straight line and stop sewing where you need to stop and turn the sewing machine.

If it is difficult to stop the sewing machine in the corners, stop the machine 2 or 3 stitches ahead of the place to stop.  Then rotate the machine by hand and sew the machine back when the required corner turn is reached

When turning the sewing machine into corners the machine needle should be kept under the fabric so that it stays down.  The pressure foot should be lifted upwards.

Doing so will make it easier to turn the machine when sewing.  This tutorial will help you to control and run the machine properly at its corners while sewing accessories like pocket, collar on your clothes.

4. How to practice curved and circular stitches?

Draw curves on the fabric and draw circles.  You can use a bracelet or round plate to draw these.  Practice stitching through the drawn circular lines.

When sewing in a bend, lift the pressure foot to the required height, turn the machine and then sew. First during the circular sewing exercise the machine should be run slowly without leaving the seams lines.

Sew fast after getting used to controlling the machine.  This exercise will help you to sew neck armhole in clothes and create new designs.

5. How to practice margin and gap stitches

First you need to sew the two fabrics together. Next you need to take two clothes. Place a cloth on the table. Leave the 2nd cloth 1/4 inch above the top right of the first cloth. Now fold the first cloth 1/4 inch from the bottom to the top side.

Lower the pressure foot and sew 1/4 inch. Its name is distance sewing. Now spread out the two cloths and leave. Then sew 1/6 of the seam on the bottom side so that the raw edge of the 1/4 distance seam disappears. Next sew 1/8 distance between both the seam and the distance seam. A lot of these stitches need to be stitched.
